Easter treat.
Read Cassandra goddess of harmony’s eBook for 99c.
When I first wrote this novel, the words “Cloud Riders” echoed within my mind, but there was no story to accompany them.
After finishing up the Soulcasters trilogy, I started researching in an effort to create a world that fit the name. I studied cloud movements and mapping charts, determined to find some way to get these mysterious riders airborne.
But it wasn’t enough. Who would they protect us all from?
That’s when I discovered the link between constellations and stories; a plan began to form in my head. But I also had to find a way for them to sustain life while soaring through the skies, so with a bit of digging, I uncovered the legend of Pegasus. But where could these heroes hide their horses before taking flight? Such rare creatures couldn’t be kept in plain sight of humans, so that was another dilemma I had to research the answer for and came up with something I think the reader will not only relate to, but enjoy.
Who would be these cloud riders? I looked to the stars for an answer – saw the general rule to drawing a star shows five spikes, and soon after five men were chosen to take on this perilous mission. Even so, something was missing…
And then came Cassandra; she was the wild card that shook up the dynamic between these cocky heroes. She was the perfect contrast amongst a bunch of cowboys.
The rest is the story dreamed up over 30 days and nights. Did I sleep? Not much! Instead, I kept the coffee pot hot and a pack of Tim Tam biscuits handy so that I could get back to work on my novel.
It took another three years to sharpen the story, and it was edited three times by different editors while I revised and cut scenes to keep the pacing tight and the main character’s development clear. So, I hope this is a story not only my editors believed in, but you, too.
Hit the “BUY A BOOK” link below and, as I told the editors, enjoy your time in the stars because that is what motivated me throughout this entire process.
